Pre Sales and Design Engineer (AV)

NMK Electronics Enterprises, a leading distributor of professional Audio Visual and Lighting manufactures in the Middle East is looking to hire a results-driven pre sales and design engineer to actively seek out and engage customer prospects in the installed and rental market.

The ideal candidate should be an experienced industry professional, with a proven background in the same field. A successful candidate combines a passion for Pre-sale and Designing with a competitive and creative business sense. The candidate will work with the marketing team for customer site visits, trade seminars and shows, product demonstrations and customer seminars.

Roles & responsibilities

• Support the sales team with designs, application, product introduction/demos
• Design solutions, based on clients requirement
• Must have an excellent knowledge of simulation software e.g. Ease or Modular
• Develop a close relationship with technical support and application team to support onsite and queries
• Train and conduct internal training seminars for colleagues
• Train and conduct external training seminars for customers
• Create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs
• Work with the marketing team on the promotion of audiovisual solutions
• Work with the marketing team for customer site visits, trade seminars and shows, product demonstrations, and customer seminars.
• Work with regional resellers and integrators to develop simulations – this would include market segments, visits to support the resellers, training, promotion, market research
• Participate in sales activities including technical design and layout, customer site visits, telephone contacts, trade-shows, product demonstrations/training, and customer seminars.
• Responsible for the development and analysis of market information for strategic planning purposes.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer information on CRM/ERP systems.
• Collect and report information on all competitive activity 

Education, Experience and Key Competencies

• Associate’s degree in related field or equivalent experience, knowledge in AV industry is a Plus
• Knowledge of CRM/ERP system, professional stage and events lighting solutions
• Preferred Pre Sales design of audio video solutions
• Basic electrical and lighting knowledge, design technical design and layouts
• Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in one of the following disciplines lighting or video, preferred  DMX and events lighting experience
• Highly motivated and target driven individual with a proven track record in sales
• Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills
• Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs
• Excellent verbal and written communication
