NMK Electronics sponsored the recent Manipal Media Fest 2018 programme hosted annually by the Dubai Campus of the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHL) by providing a selection of equipment from Bose and Shure to facilitate the workshops.


The Manipal Media Fest 2018 is an inter-school and inter-university festival that encompasses various competitions in the area of art, literature, music, broadcast, filmmaking, advertising and more.


A Shure KSM 8 Dual Dyne microphone and Shure PGA81 cardioid dynamic instrument mic was used to support the ‘Double Treble: An Original Music Competition’ session, where students were given 24 hours to compose a song and studio time to record it. Five pairs of Shure SRH240A DJ headphones were also supplied to support ‘On-Air – A competition for RJs’, while a Shure SM7B vocal mic aided the broadcast competition and three Shure PGA31-TQG condenser headset mics supported on-stage theatrical performances. Bose L1 portable speakers were also supplied for Meraki, a Pink Floyd-themed art exhibition showcasing iconic tracks from the band.
