NMK used its Dubai Silicon
Oasis facility to host its Academy 3.0
series of educational events. The first three events saw presentations
from Rational Acoustics, Rane and
Cloud.
Rational Acoustics’ Smaart training
was presented by Jamie Anderson
and covered the fundamentals
of dual-channel sound system
measurement Smaart software
operation as well as the practical
application of the analyser in pro
audio work. It attracted a mixture
of the attendees from the UAE
as well as Lebanon and Nigeria.
The last day, where Mr Anderson
concentrated on practical use of the
application proved to be the most
popular.
The Rane session was presented
by Dean Standing and covered the
manufacturer’s HAL hardware and
software. NMK used the seminar
to educate the attendees about the
product’s essential features and its
use in their work environment. There
was a general level of satisfaction
from attendees with positive
comments about Mr Standing’s
'clear explanation’ as well as his
elaboration on ‘technical details
which are important during design
and installations’. The general
consensus was the session was
‘informative and updated’.
Simon Curtis led the Cloud seminar
to an audience from the design and
install market. The seminar covered
the basics about the company
and its build process as well as
zoning paging and messaging using
Cloud products and the unique
properties of CAM/CAS.
Attendees
were reportedly appreciative of
the way all Cloud’s products were
covered and the way it provided
a better understanding of the
company. Equally the audience
liked that they got an understanding
of the application and functionality
of Cloud’s systems and how its
products are relevant to A/V designs.
NMK is hopeful this event has
‘opened the door to new possibilities
for this brand’.
